One Week until Cheltenham

One Week until Cheltenham

Only one week to go until the first day of Cheltenham, which some say is the best day. The day of the Champion Hurdle, i would agree 100% if there were the big fields of old in the Supreme Novices Hurdle, which used to be a great spectacle to start off with the roar. Now we are lucky to see double figures runners in that race, but that's how it is and its still a great race. I would say this year maybe the Wednesday is the best day, with the Queen Mother and Boodles Novices Chase. Anyway the trainers are still keeping the punters guessing with where they will run their horses. Mullins keeping tight lipped about where Dysart Dynamo or Sir Gerhard will go, he also has a couple of other juveniles that are going under the radar due to the two big talking horses for that particular class. State Man and Killcruit, its always easy to get caught up in all the hype so don't discount these two.

Anyway not long to go and later this week we will be back with another blog which summarises all the talk from the Cheltenham Preview nights.

In terms of our own betting week we had a few decent winners and places, although the trends matching horses weren't up to much at the weekend. The trends horse should always be used as a shortlist and you should look in to the shortlist more closely before deciding whether to back or not. If one horse matches the profile of the previous winners of a race, then you take a deeper dive in to that race and horse to see if you think there is value backing it. Its paints part of the picture of you. In the football Burnley let us down for BTTS Vs Chelsea at the weekend we though odds against was a great bet considering they were at home alongside the stats, but Chelsea gave them a hammering and once again relegation looks a real threat. Brentford on the other hand managed to get a win and stop getting dragged in to it for now, although we still think they are contenders to go down but Erkison might be the key to keeping them up, they needed something. Leeds will be starting to get really worried even though they played well against Leicester. Its hard to say who goes down but will sure to be exciting. At the top end of the table Man Utd showed the world once again they are average and miles behind the top sides, the players could perform much better but they don't have the attitudes to do so, they've got no heart. Look lost, which has to be put down the captain Harry Maguire for some part, if he can't motivate the players on the pitch he's not the best man for the job. I would have Bruno Fernandes as the captain he is the most intelligent player on the pitch and think the players would respond to him, he has so much class as a player. Too much talk about Man Utd i agree.

This week its European ties, Premier League and football league fixtures, so plenty to keep you eye out for. Real Madrid at home to PSG looks the one that stands out with something still to play for, PSG will likely have too much quality for Real. Four Premier League fixtures on Thursday and full round of remaining Europa League fixtures, can West Ham beat the Europa Cup specialist Seville and qualify for the Champions League in the alternate route by winning the trophy. All football tips will be on site everyday and stats for 150 leagues across the globe.
